The county of Suffolk is policed by 3 Area Commands: East, West & South - across 9 key locality areas, with each led by Superintendents.
Following a latest review, a new County Policing Command (CPC) model has been launched - comprising three key component parts:
- Community Policing Teams
- Response Investigation Teams
- County Partnership and Prevention Hub
The new Community Policing Teams replace the Safer Neighbourhood Teams and has seen the creation of 50 new Community Policing Areas (CPA) across the county.
The Response Investigation Teams (RIT), previously the Neighbourhood Response Teams, will provide initial response to emergency and non-emergency incidents.
The Community Partnership and Prevention Hub - accounts for multi-agency work between the police and partners across the county to help prevent crime and anti-social behaviour.
The Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch network aligns with the latest policing model, and more information on localities and community policing areas can be found by clicking the Area Command tabs.
