Food For Thought

The Waterfront Benefice Churches are three Anglican churches in central-east Ipswich, who have launched a project aimed to help bring local communities in the area together.

Churches can become cut off from their community if they do not reach out, and so the main aim of this project is to engage with those in the area, and to get to know them, whilst at the same time showing that the church does care.

The project hopes to achieve more of a community centre that cares about the people around, some vulnerable and some not. Anyone is welcome to go along, not just those with specific needs.

“Multimedia reflections” is a short video that sets out to explain why Churches should care for their local community.

Although the video is based on the Christian faith, it is non judgemental, and even suitable for someone without a faith. “Multimedia reflections” can be appreciated by everyone, without the feeling they are being “instructed”.

It is an opportunity for the church to get to know their local community with friendly chat - if you would like more information, please visit the church website.
